Up-to-date information on Space    www.space.com

My favorite space web site!  Space.com keeps me fully informed of all the breaking news in space science, astronomy, and astronautics.  This is a must-see if you want the most complete coverage of upcoming space launches and breaking news on commercial space developments like SpaceX, Boeing, United Launch Alliance, Blue Origin, Sierra Nevada and others.

Current Manned & Unmanned Spaceflight Info     www.spaceflightnow.com

When something is about to be launched, this is the website to give the most up-to-date, minute-by-minute information.  The archive of space-related articles goes back quite a while, so it is possible to research stories from previous Shuttle and Soyuz launches.

Space Interest Group    www.planetary.org

The Planetary Society began in 1980 and has been instrumental in promoting human and robotic space exploration.  Though there are other space interest membership groups, this is my favorite.  For teachers of astronomy and space science it is a must, since it is rich in educational resources.  The group has good connections to Washington and seems to have more input than any other space interest group towards promoting an active, balanced space program to Congress.  In my opinion, The Planetary Society is well worth the small annual membership fee.

Jaco Aerospace is a supplier for parts and maintenance material for aircraft, and its primary site is dedicated to the aeronautical enthusiast.  The link in articles with space lessons for kids is an excellent source for information on astronomy and planetary science, and should be useful for teachers seeking out additional ideas and lesson plan material for topics on the Solar System, Planets, Stars & Galaxies.  Please click on the link below:

Sleepytown Press     www.sleepytownpress.com

Sleepytown is publishing The Epsilon Wish.   They are extremely supportive, and are particularly interested in new writers who may have been passed over by the larger publishing houses in New York and elsewhere.  Sleepytown is based in Anniston, AL and began a number of years ago as a press specializing in children's books.  They now seek to expand their genre offerings to other mainstream fiction and nonfiction.    Check them out, especially if you've written something you'd love to see in print, but lack the literary agent representation needed to submit your work to the major publishing houses.
